A jewel in the crown of the City of Richmond's public elementary schools, Southampton excels in all measurable and may immeasurable areas. Southampton flourishes under the able academic leadership of Dr. Joyce Keene. She is assisted by Mrs. Roberts, Assistant Principal and supported by her office staff, Mrs. Thulin and Mrs. Harris. Southampton Tigers Soccer continues to benefit from close cooperation from Dr. Keene and her entire staff. We view the athletic program as integral to the academic mission of the school, and to that end we make great efforts to coordinate our efforts. For example, in the rare cases where Southampton's Extended Day Program overlaps with Soccer Practice, players are excused from the portion of the practice which they miss. Mrs. Keane and her staff have also been instrumental in the exceptional success that we have had in this Spring 2000 season in fielding 7 teams in all 5 grades. Southampton Parent Teachers Association The Southampton Tigers also benefits from the support and sponsorship of our PTA. Under the able leadership of Mr. Roscoe Roberts, Southampton PTA continues to champion the cause of parent involvement in quality education.
