From 1997 to 1999, the City experienced 19,300 vehicle crashes or one
every 82 minutes. 37% of these crashes involved fatalities or personal injuries.
45 citizens were killed and 11,244 were injured. Transportation safety and
mobility is everyone's responsibility.

- STOP at all RED LIGHTS
- Obey speed limits - Don't Speed
- Make complete stops
- Yield to all pedestrians in crosswalks
- When walking - Cross at intersections - Don't Jaywalk
- When bicycling - obey all signals and regulations
- Minimize cell phone use while driving
- Keep vehicle in good condition at all times
- Don't tailgate - keep room between you and
the vehicle in front
- If you drink - Don't Drive
